Whichever way you look at it, you are probably going to need to engage with other people more this year, and you may not always be in the mood to do so. Relationship pressures can therefore have a direct impact on your health and vitality.
To counter this, you need to understand the planetary patterns at work. Saturn is the big changed influence from early last year. It can demand more of you, it can push you to be more competitive, but it can also see you stub your proverbial big toe - if you try to do too much too quickly. So, pacing yourself is the key. Also, if you are finding life uncomfortable, at least through to the end of June, the temptation may be to go on yo-yo diets, when a more consistent approach would work better.

The good news is that a fab Solar Eclipse in your sign on the 10th of May, can help you to think more positively about your self-image in the following six months, and give you the push to go for the good things you aspire to. However, I must be truthful, and your willpower could be tested in June, when your natural sweet tooth, looks to be born again. This can happen again in October, when the Lunation of the 18th, can also see all your love of those gooey goodies, come home to haunt you. Yet Venus your ruler, doesn't go into retrograde until December this year, and there is an excellent Solar Eclipse on November the 3rd, which can stiffen your resolve to deal with life's natural ups and downs.

Taurus Health

Taurus rules the Back part of the head or skull. They are prone to cervical vertebrae, lower jaw and teeth, chin and palate problems. The pathological tendencies of this sign are stroke, croup, tonsillitis, lymphatic stasis of the neck and head and laryngitis. Problems with the kidneys, genitals and bladder, Stiff necks, sore throats and earaches are common among Taurus.

Although Taurus is basically a strong healthy sign, they do have their weak spots that cause problems throughout life. The Taurus body area is the throat and as such, they often have problems here with throat infections. Many Taureans can be overweight, especially those born in may.

Taurus woemen are less sensitive to pains and normally enjoy strong health. But if they fall ill, the recovery will be slow because their recovery power is slow and they seldom co-operate with the doctor because of their stubborn nature. Diseases effecting the throat and lower abdomen like tonsils, diptheria, throat infections colds, constipation trouble you. Pimples and sore eyes are also a sore spot for you.

Taurus should avoid cold stuff and maximise intake of green vegetables to remain fit and healthy. Long walks are best exercise for them and they should have sufficient sleep also.

Astrological Health Profile

Zodiac signs govern the entire human body. The part of the body that Taurus governs is the neck and throat.

As Taurus governs the neck and throat, Taureans have to be aware of their specific astrological-based health needs that are health needs of the throat and neck areas primarily, and the respiratory system secondarily.

Therefore, Taureans are prone to such diseases and disorders as:

  • Itchy/scratchy throat
  • Tonsillitis
  • Sore throat (hoarseness)
  • Hypothyroidism (goiter)
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Laryngitis
  • Neck pain
  • Graves disease
  • Bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Pneumonia
  • Metabolism dysfunction (which leads to weight problems, mostly obesity.)
Taureans need to maintain optimal thyroid function and keep their throats clear. To stimulate the thyroid gland, simply tap your throat three times with your fingertips. Also try doing this whenever you have difficulty expressing yourself.

In addition, neck massage is also important to the health and well being of Taurus individuals.

Dietary Considerations

Taureans tend to gain excess weight and can quickly become obese. Taurus is ruled by Venus and is thus a lover of good food and drink. And because Taurus can be quite lazy, excess pounds gather and add up rather quickly; so the Taurus must move, must be mobile, and should not be sedentary for the sake of their own health.

Taureans should make sure to get adequate amounts of sodium. Sodium is the necessary cell-salt of Taurus. Great sources of natural sodium include Seaweed (dulse, kelp, etc.), Celery, and sea salt.

From time to time, the Taurus individual should gargle with warm water and sea salt, which is for the maintenance of the throat. I also recommend long soaks in hot water and sea salt for Taurus individuals.

Taureans should also get adequate amounts of Iodine in their diet. The best natural source of iodine (organic iodine) is seaweeds: dulse, kelp, spirulina, blue green algae, red marine sea algae, chlorella, Irish Moss, bladder wrack.
